Anti-CCP Group Launches Five-Figure Digital Ad Backing President Trump’s Tariffs on CCP to Deter Drug Trafficking

President Trump: “China hopefully is going to stop sending us drugs and if they're not, the tariffs are going to go substantially higher.”

The Protecting America Initiative, a coalition of concerned Americans and public policy experts dedicated to combating the growing influence of Communist China in the United States, today launched a new digital ad supporting President Trump’s tariffs on China for their role in the drug crisis that has taken countless American lives.

The 60-second ad spot, “We are Done,” is backed by a five-figure buy and will run on digital platforms across the nation.

The ad praises President Trump’s efforts to impose tariffs on China in order to deter them from trafficking drugs into our country. The ad notes the praise Trump has received for his strong leadership on this issue and features comments from the President as well as Vice President JD Vance.

TRANSCRIPT:

PRESIDENT TRUMP: To me, the most beautiful word is the word tariff.

A new round of executive orders signed by President Trump today.

Tariffs.

New tariffs.

New tariffs on China.

To China, it's a warning.

What Trump is doing here really is meant to secure our nation from Chinese Communist Party influence.

This is aimed squarely at trying to control China's influence.

And I think you've already seen the success of that.

Trump is being very smart in how he's applying the terms.

The big goal with these China tariffs, though, is to keep fentanyl components in China.

This is something that we know the President obviously is taking very seriously.

This is what the electorate voted for.

VP JD VANCE: 100,000 lives per year lost to drug overdose, most of which have come from the fentanyl problem.

He really believes that the United States is being taken advantage of.

We have one very big power over China, and that's tariffs.

VP JD VANCE: We are done being taken advantage of.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: China hopefully is going to stop sending us fentanyl and if they're not, the tariffs are going to go substantially higher.

BACKGROUND:

  • PAI recently announced Former Acting United States Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wold as a Senior Advisor. The addition came as PAI looks to expand its efforts from advocating for state policies to combat the Chinese communist Party’s influence.

  • The Protecting America Initiative recently released a multistate ad calling on Republican state legislators to support President Trump’s agenda by taking action against the urgent threat that Communist China poses to American agriculture.

  • During the 2024 Presidential Debate, PAI ran a six-figure ad spot across the seven major battleground states calling to safeguard American manufacturing, food supply, and Border from the CCP and hitting Kamala Harris for “opening the door to China.”

  • PAI hosted President Donald J. Trump in September at a roundtable with Pennsylvania farmers on the need to combat the growing influence of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on America’s agriculture industry and food supply.

  • PAI released polling in August demonstrating an overwhelming majority of Americans are concerned about the CCP’s threat to the United States’ national security, food security, infrastructure, higher education, and influence over our elected officials.
